Our history
Three decades ago, the dream of Antoni Bonet and Jordi Pascual gave life to United Barcode Systems, with the idea of offering solutions that would make it easier for companies to identify their products on production lines.
The APL by United Barcode Systems, our first piece of equipment in the coding market, revolutionized the automatic labeling of pallets. But we didn’t stop there. A few years later, we expanded our solutions and created a device for direct case printing, the APLINK.
Over time, the world of packaging evolved, very diverse packaging was being produced and so, our UVLED technology was born, so that our APLINK equipment could print on any surface.
The acceleration of production challenged us to go faster, customers demanded printing at a faster rate and on both sides of the boxes. This led to the APLINK DUAL, an equipment with two printheads to print simultaneously on two sides.
Our goal has always been to respond to the needs of the market, and for this reason, in recent years we have developed the HR platform, thanks to which we have achieved one of our main objectives: “Taking coding to the next level”.
Today, with more than 10,000 satisfied customers and presence in more than 60 countries, we celebrate not only our 30 years of history, but every achievement we have reached and those yet to come.
